Challenging Honeymoon!

Honeymoon trip to Switzerland is considered to be the highest accomplishment of a newlywed couple of these times (Kaliyuga). Nowadays, people keep opting destinations like Singapore, Malasia, Mauritius Etc. A Facebook update indicating a far off honeymoon trip is an indispensable insignia for a flamboyant couple who would like to believe or announce aloud that they belong to the ‘Elite class’.

Such a kind of honeymoon is inevitable alike a bride gets herself sunk in golden ornaments at the wedding function as a symbol of affluence and nobility of her family even though we mutely agree that one’s ostentatiousness cause for anothers' despair. We all contribute to promote ‘rat race’ in this society either being an enthused racer or an applauder.

The scope of luxury at each point of life gets discovered, recognized and established as days go on. Corporate players help improving the application of money. Far beyond a gentle factor of an inner urge to visit and see a far off destination accompanying the better part, society take it as a challenge to mollify self-esteem to overcome high ego-competition which prevails in this cut-throat lifestyle-market. Human’s desirous mind gets unleashed and looking out for new meadows to enrich own pride. Financial capacity of a person is considered to be the summation of his ability. Possession of material asset gauge the success of an individual. Epicurean generation who are highly inclined towards sophisticated worldly life and flaunt upon ‘all possible elements’ which can be purchased and then showcased. Majority of the people urge to uplift their life-standards from the poor in pursuit of defining so-called success.

People find glory in sensational external affairs and assets unlike olden times who respected and regarded knowledge and internal bliss.

Happy Retirement to Kunhiraman Sir!

At the marriage function of Ramya.
‘Booker T Washington was an ambitious Nigro boy. His great ambition was to obtain enough education to read common books and newspapers!’ This is how the first essay from the first chapter of my 10th Std  begins, as taught by Kunhiraman sir.

I joined GVHSS Iriyanni post completion of my 7th Std at GUPS Kanathur. During the transition period, I heard from a few seniors about a proficient, stringent and slim teacher named ‘Kunhiraman mash’. During that time, we considered ‘cane-stick’ as a symbol of ‘austerity’ and heard from seniors that he always carries one in hand as his deadly weapon! I set my mind to face the ‘most dangerous teacher ever’ and started attending his Biology classes in 8th C Std. I had an inborn inclination towards Biology as Late: Krishnan master (who is my most-respected teacher ever) sowed the seeds of passion towards science in me during my years at GUPS Kanathur. Kunhiraman sir’s lecture and narration infiltrated in to my brain and heart as well. Contrary to my assumptions, for 3 consecutive years I never had a situation to listen to even a single hard-hitting word from him. He nurtured me for 3 years with immense amount of affection and attention. He exuded enthusiasm in me to fertilize my skills. I was free to talk to him the unfiltered version of my intuitions as if I could speak to my parents. I was always conscious, responsive and responsible to him to keep up the dream-rapport which I had with him during my days at GVHSS Iriyanni even though I was not-so-good at academics. It helped me to get myself groomed and organized as a better student.

Kunhiraman sir was the class teacher who taught us English and Biology in 10th A Std. English was just another boring subject for me till I got Kunhiraman sir as my English teacher. Most of the English teachers I have seen believed in reading the chapter aloud and persuading us to mug up the para-graphical answers even without minding to let us assimilate the gist of it. Students had to use their brain as a warehouse than as a refinery! When I recall, I could listen to some teachers who taught me English in Malayalam, which resulted in implanting poor English efficiency among students including in me. But, as Kunhiraman sir came in as my English teacher, things started to change. Slowly and steadily begin to get acquainted and then familiarized with the Language. English periods were no more an ideal time for an afternoon nap. His pedagogy in English grammar was highly appreciable as he ensured that students are followed as he writes and dismantles the words on black board into white dust downward. I'm not trying to overrate an invaded British language here. But, emphasizing on the importance of this beautiful language due to it's high utility in this era.

Kunhiraman sir’s daughter Ramya was my brother’s classmate; and, Kunhiraman sir’s wife Minikutty teacher was my first teacher who fixed writing-slate and its pencil in my hands on my first day at 1st Std at GUPS Kanathur 2 decades before!

The success of a teacher lies in being someone who explores himself beyond the framework of just a seasoned tutor to one who could impart values into the hearts of his students. Followed by Motherhood and fatherhood, teaching has a luxurious key role in developing persons and thereby the society. I’m privileged to have Kunhiraman sir as my teacher and the flame of fire he kindled and gifted to me will be carried along with me as long as I live my days. Sir, you being my 'first' English teacher, let me humbly dedicate each word I wrote here to you! Happy retirement and may God shower bliss and happiness in to your retirement life.

Happy B'day!

"Tomorrow is my Birthday and I'm keenly awaiting for those midnight calls from my friends, relatives and colleagues to wish me a ‘Happy Birthday’ infused in amusement! My social media accounts will be flooded with Birthday greetings. I will be specifically noticing those mute-antagonists who would not even mind posting a line of ‘Happy Birthday’ on my Facebook wall! When I go to my office on tomorrow, I anticipate every lousy faces I come across to throw a sensational smirk at me with an overwhelming piece of greetings. I will be interested to count the number of cakes being bought to surprise me and of course it matters if it’s of big size and scrumptious flavor. It entertains me when the whole crowd around me clap as if I’m on a verge of winning a 100 meter sprint, when I blow the frightened flames dancing on top of the weeping candle-towers planted around the cake. It displays my popularity and congeniality amongst my peers when they take an extra-liberty to glue the cake-cream on my face, spray the foam and to kick aback religiously with hysterical laughter. I’m prepared to spend one month’s of my gross salary to treat the impatience of my lovable around a multi-cuisine restaurant table. As I can early step out of the office for the day, the day gets concentrated upon meeting my mischievous band of kith and kin. More cakes, wines and food to enthuse and fuel my final hours of the birth-night!"

I being a Human resource professional, it demands to wish each employee on their birth dates and it’s not more than a gentle line of formal greeting. But, what’s bothering me is the reason behind this hyper celebration. Nowadays, people are observant and servants of trends seen around. They're least interested to be cognitive about the 'sense or nonsense' it make. Birthday celebrations are one of such addictions we are enforced to pursue over last century. It’s admirable if someone remembers the greatness behind their entry into the earth and thank the parents and supreme nature. But, when it’s celebrated with annoying eagerness by spending thousands, lacs and even crores it looks embarrassing, foolish and irrational.

As an individual, I neither greet anyone or wish to get greeted on account of Birthdays. But, it’s a fact that I love when my mother reminds me a day prior to visit any nearby temples and to express gratitude to the almighty on my astrological birthday! However, it’s none of my business to comment on other’s way of celebrating their Birthdays but I can only be exasperated to the core witnessing the undesirable piece of delight seen in some people on their so-called special days!

NB:- Tomorrow is not my Birthday!

Good bye 2015; never back again!

New year celebration is in line with Western culture and, in Indians this is a recent festive mindset created by electronic surroundings. However, it always fascinates me when my Dad replaces the sick and aged 'Matrubhoomi' calendar with a brand-new one on the wall of dining room!

As the 'last sun of 2015' slowly dips down the reddish horizon, let me look aback! This may help me to analyze my performance in 2015 which would help to plan for a better 2016!

Ups:

·         Oops! without major hiccups, I managed to find my soul-mate which makes this year cherished :)

·         Managed to emphasize on my profession and reach out broader avenues in terms of exposure, roles and responsibilities. Could get into a new assignment which offers indisputable work-life balance.

·         Managed to focus on painting and a bit of blogging no matter how much sense or non-sense or nuisance to others it made!

·         I was allergenic to News as chunk of it comprised of junks such as corruption, scam, vendetta, rape, celebrity affairs, advertisement Etc. But, positively I resumed my childhood habit of reading newspapers and watching Tv News.

·         Could focus on Yoga and Pranayama. Began tasting the fruits of ‘Pranayama’ as I started to sense ‘Kundalini awakening’ often; as if I feel presence of god more closer or deep within. Managed to spend a lot of time with Bhagavat Geeta and Upanishads with high degree of absorption and assimilation.

·         Could shift my accommodation to a much spacious and appealing house in Bangalore which is at a 5 minute-walkable distance from my new office; this advantage of house being closer to office helped me avoid the notorious traffic block and pollution of the city. Could kick-start the renovation of our home in Kerala which was a resultant of long term planning and expected to be completed within 1 more month.

·         In general, underwent real tough times unlike before in my life and could combat effectively with immense support from my friends! I believe in the proverb which says ‘Adversity makes men, and prosperity makes monsters’.

·         Transformed to be a guy of better health consciousness through focus on vegetarian diet especially with a lot of Salads eating in and turning my face off from non-veg.

·         Could effectively stop flirting with girls which was began right from the day of my first ejaculation and emission of semen which happened when I was in 6th or 5th Std. Closest buddies look at this achievement as a symbol of maturity as this automatically happened without any sincere effort at my end. Sounds like somebody influenced big-time! (Disclaimer: Dear stakeholder, please note that the affair I had is not linked to any of the flirty relations!).

Downs:

·         Couldn’t chase my family’s one of the biggest dreams: Myself holding a driving license!

·         Business partying has been a recent habit I have been in; however I was at my good conviction of it’s healthy turn around. I delayed my decision of saying ‘NO’ to partying till my wedding.

2016 looks challenging alike any other new year to come in or had gone over, especially in view of my wedding and professional enhancement. Beginnings are always thrilling just like we begin to sit in a new classroom in the beginning of a new educational year OR as we begin to open a cricket match as an opening batsman with sky-high hopes in pocket!

Hope you all had a wonderful 2015 and also wishing you all a Happy 2016.

The Mysterious Yoga Nidra of Lord: Mahavishnu!

During ‘Pranayamic Meditation', ‘Kundalini power’ ignites my subtle consciousness and it gets unleashed. The empowered soul gushes out of my head, house and crosses accumulation of clouds up in sky then up to moon, terrestrial planets, interplanetary dust, comets, asteroids, stars and whole galaxy and so on.

The liberated soul expedite through strange space of horrifyingly altering temperature of deep silence! Even further, billions of light years away, could sense the incredible vibe of Lord: Mahavishnu who is in his ultimate ‘Yoga Nidra’; which is a state of hibernation while aware of everything. 'The Antaryami' found laid on a bedspread of a thousand hooded great serpent in the universal ocean called ‘Ksheera Saagara’ which is a representation of the Milky way. The Snake Adisehsa of infinite dimensions is the coiled Cosmic energy in the Solar Plexus (Mooladhaara).

This description is out of feeble humane imagination which may sound too low or deficient in comparison to the unconditional cosmic form of ‘the sole energy resource’ of the universe, which stands far beyond the reach and cognition of human brain. Nobody has any clue about the mystery behind the slumber of Lord Vishnu! His supreme cognizance defines mass, space and time pertaining to all movable and immovable objects and mechanisms in the universe. Whole world is originated from his cosmic form and remain as a part of it; for that matter even I and you too! The preserver silently and endlessly manifests variously and runs the show of maintaining this entire cosmos for uncountable number of Yugas, as a part of his obligatory duty.

I'm eagerly longing to integrate myself into the Lord's totality upon succesully completing the probationary human life!

NB:- While meditating, I recommend you to listen to this Spanish track: 'Angelo Milli - La Mujer De Mi Hermano - Love Theme'.
